Agreement was reached with Pastor Miguel Angelo from the Presbyterian Church of Manaus to have their participation in IRIBrazil’s outreach activities and their support presenting IRI to evangelical leaders in the Amazon.  Similar agreement was also reached with Ms. Muriel Saragoussi, a prominent Brazilian scientist and socio-environmental activist, who agreed to support IRI and offered several important connections and recommendations for other researchers, entrepreneurs, and local leaders who are active in the preservation and sustainable use of the Amazon rainforest and support for indigenous peoples.  Meetings were also held with the Archbishop of Manaus, Dom Leonardo Steiner, and REPAM coordinator, João Gutemberg Coelho to update them on the progress of IRI Brazil and present the strategy for 2022.  Each agreed to support IRI Brazil in its activities.
