IRI Peru partners with World Resources Institute to provide religious leaders with training on the Global Forest Watch platform

On May 20^th, IRI Peru partnered with World Resources Institute to hold a capacity building workshop on the Global Forest Watch platform, a powerful service that uses satellite technology to allow users to track deforestation in near real-time and to tailor alerts, track deforestation drivers and more. The training run by Global Forest Watch was attended by the IRI Peru country team as well as 31 representatives from Peru’s 10 local chapters, equipping religious leaders across the country with a new tool in their efforts to advocate for the protection and restoration of Peru’s forests.
