IRI Peru undertakes planning and training with local chapters in priority regions

IRI Peru is in the midst of a process of training and planning with local chapters in Tarapoto, Chiriaco, Yurimaguas and Bellavista to review their formation, support them in the organisation and implementation of their work plans, and to consider actions to be taken in relation to the upcoming electoral process in Peru. The IRI Peru local chapter work plans include: a reconfiguration of the IRIs by convening new actors, religious, indigenous, social leaders and institutions to ensure they are fit for purpose; awareness-raising and training, both within each chapter and in the sectors where they operate; and advocacy work with their local or regional authorities.
