IRI Peru has been coordinating with the office of Congressman Arturo Alegria, to organize working meetings to expand knowledge and receive feedback on the bills that his party, Fuerza Popular, has presented in Congress and that are relevant to the environmental agenda, especially the Amazon. IRI Peru held a working meeting with the congressman in his office on September 7 and participated in a video organized by the Congressman’s office highlighting the benefits of conservation and investment in the protection and restoration of forests in the country. They agreed to hold a follow-up working meeting to link the congressman and members of his technical team with specialists on forests.
