On National Indigenous Peoples’ Day (HKMAN), IRI Indonesia hosted the webinar, “Cultural Heritage and Ecology: Indigenous Communities of the Archipelago in Rainforest Conservation Action,” which sought to address deforestation and explore the critical role of cultural heritage in environmental sustainability. The event was attended by a total of 20 religious leaders and academics, including the Henriana Hatrawijaya, Vice Chair of the National AMAN Council, who spoke about the Kasepuhan Karang Banten Indigenous community and how they manage their customary forests.
