The Interfaith Initiative for Tropical Forests in Colombia participated in the Oslo Forum on Tropical Forests (OTFF), convened by Norad, the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation, on behalf of the Norwegian International Climate and Forest Initiative (NICFI). The global conference was held on 25 and 26 June in Oslo and brought together ministers, policymakers, multilateral institutions, civil society, indigenous peoples and the private sector to advance the protection of tropical forests. This year’s meeting addressed the results of tropical countries in implementing policies to reduce deforestation and protect nature, forest management by indigenous peoples and local communities, actions to combat crimes against nature, and new solutions for transparency and monitoring of forests.
