Prior to the formation processes of the local chapters in La Macarena (Meta) and Orito (Putumayo), IRI-Colombia convened religious leaders and delegates of local indigenous organizations – on November 6 in La Macarena and November 14 in Orito – with the purpose of talking to them about the pedagogical day and advancing in the co-creation of the Environmental and Pastoral Action Plan 2025. a key instrument for the articulation of efforts in the region in favor of the protection of the Amazonian tropical forests. In addition to strengthening the ties of mutual recognition, during these two strategic meetings the bases were defined for the design of the schedule of activities of IRI-La Macarena, IRI-La Cristalina, IRI-Alto Morrocoy, IRI-Orito, IRI-Churuyaco and IRI-Siberia for next year, which ensures comprehensive planning that responds to the needs of the territory and promotes environmental conservation from an interreligious and community perspective.
