IRI Peru scales training rapidly across regions

In October 2025 alone, workshops trained 126 religious leaders, teachers and pastoral agents across Lima, San Martín, Alto Amazonas, Huampami and Nieva. In November, an additional 167 leaders were trained through virtual and in-person activities across Catholic education networks, parish ecological agents, school communities and multiple faith networks, including intensive sessions with the Church of the Nazarene in Iquitos and follow-on workshops in Requena, including an interreligious session with a local Catholic parish.

IRI Peru also launched the first training of a new “Cusco nucleus” (Cusco/Quillabamba/Puerto Maldonado) to strengthen coordination and joint action, adding technical inputs on climate data, agriculture and fire prevention.
