IRI Brazil participates in panel on the ethical and spiritual dimensions of the climate crisis in the Blue ZoneI

The event brought together religious leaders from Afro-Brazilian faiths, the Catholic Church, Evangelical churches, Indigenous peoples, and representatives from the Brazilian government. Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva, joined the panel and called for a broad spiritual and political mobilization to face the climate crisis.

The dialogue reaffirmed that caring for the Earth is also an act of faith. The panel emphasized the transformative power of spirituality in mobilizing communities to protect life, promote justice, and safeguard rainforests.
