IRI DRC has launched its national issue primer on forest restoration as a contribution to the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. The primer outlines how forest restoration is a necessary complement to the forest protection agenda, what forest restoration looks like in practice, and how religious organizations in DRC can get involved. The primer also includes a case study about the Art Circle of the Congolese Plantation Workers, where participants sell their artwork and reinvest in the restoration of degraded forests.
