IRI Brazil state chapter in Acre meets to set actions for the year

The IRI Acre chapter met with the IRI Brazil national team on February 3rd to initiate planning of activities for the year. Two priorities were defined: 1) expanding awareness-raising and training activities for religious leaders; and 2) carrying out the second edition of the campaign to reduce forest fires and deforestation. Mobilizing and motivating the leaders of IRI Acre will enable this year’s campaign to reduce fires and deforestation to reach a wider audience and influence the adoption of preventive measures by the federal and state governments and local councils. It will also facilitate the launch of other local chapters in important municipalities.
