IRI Peru published its latest issue of Somos Bosque magazine, which focuses on the threat of illegal mining against the Awajún and Wampis peoples in the Amazon region, near the border with Ecuador. In this issue, IRI Peru also delves into into a recent ruling that recognises the Marañón River, a tributary of the Amazon, as a subject of rights. Also, IRI Peru addresses the newly approved Park Ranger Law, a regulation that will benefit more than 800 workers in protected areas.
