IRI Peru facilitated three training and capacity-building workshops (in Chiriaco, Huampami, and Nieva), through which a total of 47 religious leaders gained a deeper understanding of forests, climate, and Indigenous Peoples’ rights. The workshops emphasised the urgent need to advance common actions to combat the climate crisis, focusing on specific issues such as river pollution, illegal mining, unregulated fishing, and the lack of public awareness on the importance of caring for the environment.
