On 29 May, IRI Indonesia, in collaboration with AMAN and the Communion of Churches in Indonesia, hosted the monthly webinar, Raising Awareness: Environmental Advocacy and Tropical Forest Conservation in a Religious Framework. In recognition of the need to advance concrete actions to protect tropical forests, the webinar highlighted the moral and spiritual responsibility to care for the environment as a sacred teaching that is shared by all religious and faith traditions. The webinar brought together 30 participants, including religious and faith leaders, academics, students, and environmental activists, who committed to advance advocacy and concrete actions to combat activities that destroy forests, including deforestation and resource exploitation.
