In celebration of World Environment Day, IRI Colombia published the opinion column, Tears of a Giant: The Amazon Cries for its Future, written by Rev. Glora Ulloa from the World Council of Churches (WCC). The article which was published in El Espectador focuses on the phenomenon of “savannisation” that threatens the Amazon rainforest as a result of deforestation, as well as its environmental impact across the country.
