As a result of IRI Brazil’s mobilization strategy, the Amazônia Viva film was included in the Brazilian catalogue in the Marché du Film of the Cannes Film Festival 2024. Among the selected films, Amazônia Viva was the only virtual reality film presented at the festival. As the largest annual gathering of the film industry bringing together over 600 exhibitors and more than 14,000 participants, the selection of Amazônia Viva film presents a critical opportunity for the film to be recognised as an asset to be leveraged in awareness-raising efforts around the Amazon and the rights of Indigenous Peoples across the globe.
