IRI Brazil participates in biodiversity day event organised by Ministry of Environment and Climate Change

On 25 May, IRI Brazil participated in the Biodiversity Day commemorative event organized by the Secretariat of Biodiversity of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. Through the event, IRI Brazil raised awareness on the importance of protecting forests through a screening of the Amazônia Viva film, which reached around 100 people. IRI Brazil’s continued participation in activities carried out by the Ministry of the Environment is a recognition of the country program’s unique strengths and experiences as a key actor in the protection of the Amazon and the Indigenous Peoples that inhabit it. After the screening, IRI Brazil was invited to participate in preparatory events for COP 16, and received several invitations to hold screenings of the Amazônia Viva film in academic institutions and entities that work toward environmental protection in the region.
