IRI Brazil launches Children’s book “Cuidando da Criação” (Caring for Creation)

In partnership with Smilingüido publications, IRI Brazil launched the first title in a new series for evangelical children, presenting care for creation as a core expression of Christian faith. Debuting at FEFIC 2025, an initial print run of 2,000 copies was distributed widely through IRI Brazil’s network.

At the stand, families and children engaged with stories and activities that connect biblical teaching to everyday choices—planting trees, saving water, reducing waste—making stewardship tangible at home and church.

A trusted children’s brand in evangelical communities since the 1980s, Smilingüido materials blend Scripture, humor, and moral formation. The partnership will scale a themed series on caring for nature for children and families, aligning faith formation with environmental awareness.

IRI Brazil participated in the Christian Fiction and Culture Faith, the country’s largest Christian fiction event (link here), and distributed 800 copies of the new book and screened Amazônia Viva to ~800 attendees. A dedicated IRI Brazil panel drew ~200 participants (in-person/online), and a second screening reached ~400 more. Conversations with 100+ authors and leading publishers strengthened ties for future children’s content, pastoral resources, and regional partnerships; five new strategic leaders were identified for follow-on collaboration.
